Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of swissmade. A well placed corner kick from G. Clarke was followed by G. Castureddu's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Mete, the score now 0 - 1. swissmade put pressure on the visitors' central defence 33 minutes into the game, but M. Waldmann couldn't find an opening. As F. Markovic had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the swissmade player a red card without batting an eyelid. 37 minutes into the game, Mete worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. swissmade's M. Turchetto was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 42 minutes. 43 minutes into the match, swissmade's E. van Oosten maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 1 - 1. It was 1 - 1 at the break. Mete claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

As the 66 minute mark approached, the swissmade coach decided it was time for a substitution. G. Lorch reluctantly made way for K. Gjelsten on the pitch. T. Lah was the new captain of swissmade - handed the armband by the departing player. 69 minutes into the game, swissmade wanted to bring some new energy to their game. M. Turchetto gave S. Polston a quick hug as he left the field. swissmade had a chance to take the lead after K. Kallen's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 73 minutes. Good work by the swissmade defensive line after 80 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found S. Polston alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. E. van Oosten made a nice dash down the wing after 81 minutes, but was unable to get the cross into the box. A goal kick was awarded. Mete enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

As neither team had managed to win, extra time was called. E. van Oosten of swissmade received a yellow card after 95 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 101 minutes, swissmade did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, M. Waldmann was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 2 - 1. What a dramatic win for swissmade! Most important swissmade player was M. Waldmann. On the other hand, D. Kubalek's play was disheartening. The most dominating Mete player was without a doubt H. Wolin. M. MacManus was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
