27-06-2012 12.00
31256 spectators had come to
Capilla González this cloudy day.
Roger Ulfbratt was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mariano Ivan Carnero and
Rosen Vuchev.
S.Miedo started off with a 4-5-1 lineup.
They fielded: Fertmann - Iacovone, Lienen, Malatesta, Kalantar - Sénéca, Adams, Hager, Amenábar, Vorgaard - Ceccato.
Tropota tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players took the field: 康凡 (Kangfan) - Poppi, Aleiza, Sivertsen - Riambau, Meló, Uggerholm, Olofsson, Sibbel - Bielicki, Azamar.
It was an obvious ambition of S.Miedo to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
Attacking on the wings was the choice for S.Miedo, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack.
At 15 minutes played,
M. Adams came in from the right with the intention of giving S.Miedo the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar.
A mistake by the home side's central defence after 29 minutes allowed
J. Bielicki to score for Tropota. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1.
34 minutes into the game
S. Malatesta could see that the opposing goalie was out of position and tried an unexpected lob that the keeper just barely reached. The rebound went to
L. Vorgaard who failed to hit the target.
With 35 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
S. Malatesta needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
S.Miedo put pressure on the visitors' central defence 38 minutes into the game, but
M. Adams couldn't find an opening.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
J. Bielicki after 39 minutes, and prevented Tropota from going up another goal.
After 40 minutes of game time,
V. Meló had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
H. Fertmann was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner.
It was 0 - 1 at the break.
Possession in this half belonged to S.Miedo, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.
66 minutes in, and S.Miedo were able to score the equalising goal to make it 1 - 1 when
M. Adams picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper.
After 88 minutes,
M. Adams came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 2 - 1, giving S.Miedo the lead.
The bench was restless, and with 89 minutes passed Tropota's coach gave
C. Gonzalez the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
S. Aleiza reluctantly left the field.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by S.Miedo, with 53 percent of the ball.
S.Miedo's best player was
G. Ceccato.
M. Adams turned in a dismal performance, however.
Most important Tropota player was
S. Azamar.
G. Riambau on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 2 - 1.
