The 35003 fans in attendance at RSCA MickyMike Arena were roasting in the hot sun. Diego Puñal was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Kjell Brandwald and Marian Lefter. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Gforcee. Starters: Pereira - Vardar, Stensson, Wechner - Fracchia, van Hilst, Cappa, Pelikan, Bengi - Hibbs, Wilmet.

F. Técher was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, MickyMike's A. Sabugueiro managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 1 - 0 The sun seemed to put C. Galardini in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. Things were deteriorating for the away team as MickyMike scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for O. Piña after 38 minutes. Confident in their lead, MickyMike's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Gforcee's A. Fracchia was shown a yellow card after 40 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Halftime score was 2 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Gforcee, with 60 percent of the ball.

Gforcee had a fair chance to reply after 63 minutes due to some fine moves down the left, but in the end J. Vardar was slow to keep up with the play and was unable to make it into the penalty box to apply a finish. A. Fracchia didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. MickyMike's L. Savoika had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 77 minutes having been played. D. Dameto was the replacement. O. Piña increased the lead for MickyMike to 3 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! The guests got an opportunity to reduce after 80 minutes and O. van Hilst took it from the penalty spot, scoring easily for 3 - 1. G. Schrøder could have increased the lead after 82 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. MickyMike's R. Espuny got himself booked for a foul. It wasn't a good day at all for S. Bengi. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day. Gforcee had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

F. Técher performed admirably for MickyMike. S. Andrisano on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Gforcee player was A. Pelikan. B. Wilmet turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
