Clouds darkened the skies at METROSTAV arena as 28576 spectators turned up for the match. Daniele Dirollo was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Vardis Skiriotis and Marcus Nilsson. For their match strategy, Kopáči had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Jerza displayed their ability to play creatively. J. Krakovský received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 14 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 16 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from S. Vasseur, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. With 17 minutes played, the visitors could have drawn level after M. Kania came through the middle, but his kick went wide. After 26 minutes, B. Áder sent the corner kick right to I. Flecaru who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 1! The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Jerza's B. Hochart after 31 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 1 - 2 lead. After 34 minutes, a counter attack by Jerza was converted into a decent free kick opportunity. However, the indirect free kick routine was easily anticipated by the defenders. A textbook example of how to defend a free kick - the attackers were left with few viable options. 35 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 3 as J. Joudal finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The referee showed Kopáči's S. Tremis the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Halftime score was 1 - 3. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Kopáči, with 52 percent of the ball.

A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by P. Hrčka. At last, Jerza's J. Jurečka was able to backheel the ball in. 1 - 4. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Jerza coach let J. Šudoma replace F. Batěk after 63 minutes. The coach of Jerza was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 63 minutes, E. Karásek came on for B. Hochart. B. Áder became the new Jerza captain. B. Aleynik really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by H. Hajdú after a corner. J. Krakovský of Jerza took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 69 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 5. By now, the players in Jerza felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. With 85 minutes played, H. Hajdú was very close to reducing the score for Kopáči with a low drive from the left, but a defender stuck his foot out just in the nick of time, blocking the shot to a corner. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave J. Joudal from Jerza a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 87 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Possession in this half belonged to Kopáči, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

Most important Kopáči player was S. Vasseur. A. Kulenko on the other hand, had a terrible day. Jerza's best player was J. Jurečka. However, M. Kania made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 5.
