Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 49288 at Chamber Of No Mercy today. Edward Röhrlich was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Andrzej Krzysztofiak and Charles-François Castiaux. Kainovice started off with a 4-3-3 lineup. Starters: Oktábec - Valken, Zavadil, Čala, Fiala - Hrnčíř, Hošťálek, Kozáček - Español, Hes, Mogensen.

Nebojme had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Jonasson - Kadrnožka, Filgas, Loos - Suknuntharot, Deplano, Nogueira, Kachel, Augusto - Anelli, Dinda.

Kainovice were relying on their ability to counter-attack. Nebojme saw most attack opportunities on the wings. After 3 minutes, Nebojme put themselves up 0 - 1, as G. Anelli finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. P. Filgas received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 7 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Nebojme fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. 21 minutes into the game, Kainovice seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable. A. Hrnčíř of Kainovice seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 2 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by B. Fiala. The home crowd was not impressed when S. Augusto came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 31 minutes. Nebojme were now up 1 - 3. J. Kachel came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over J. Oktábec but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. Halftime score was 1 - 3. Nebojme claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 72 percent.

During the break, Kainovice's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. The Nebojme players could smell victory in the air. M. Kadrnožka wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for B. Schiller after 46 minutes. After 56 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave G. Deplano a chance to increase the lead for Nebojme, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 4. After 72 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed T. Dinda to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 5. With 75 minutes played, Nebojme put themselves up 1 - 6 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was S. Augusto. 76 minutes in, Kainovice appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable. Nebojme were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. J. Kachel increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 7. By now, the players in Nebojme felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Nebojme increased their lead after 81 minutes when G. Anelli broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 8, much to the home crowd's dismay. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, A. Hrnčíř got himself booked. The manager of Kainovice was not happy. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Nebojme, with 73 percent of the ball.

B. Mogensen performed admirably for Kainovice. However, L. Čala made a disastrous appearance. Nebojme's top performer was clearly J. Kachel. B. Schiller was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 8.
