(392668180)

27-06-2012 13.30
The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 631 had shown up at
Beverlo Stadion for the match.
Nuno Borrego was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Günter Rumpold and
Ricardo Vogelaar.
Inter decided to use a 5-3-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Garlaounis - Okáľ, Oostens, Baquet, Cabanilla, De Ruysscher - García, Guerriero, Gerola - Bracke, Andrade.
Overpelt1 had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation.
Starters: De Clercq - Boinet, Bradfer, Torfs, De Hert, Desmet - Liénard, Staessens, Landerie, Renders - Schoot.
The wings were the focus of most of Inter's attacks today.
After a fine move down the middle
S. Guerriero nearly gave the home side a goal after 3 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide.
The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 12 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
J. Okáľ, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing.
C. Gerola unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
Overpelt1 almost scored after a counterattack 21 minutes into the match, but
G. Schoot took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net.
The visitors'
E. Staessens came close to levelling the score after 30 minutes with a free kick that went just wide of the top left corner.
With 34 minutes played, Inter put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
K. De Ruysscher, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0.
Possession in this half belonged to Inter, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.
S. Guerriero left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
V. Petrovski was the replacement.
R. Andrade was the new captain of Inter - handed the armband by the departing player.
After 49 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
A. Cabanilla gave the Inter supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0.
The home side's
C. Gerola curled a free kick home after 60 minutes, putting Inter ahead 4 - 0.
Coming from the right,
J. Okáľ almost managed to score another goal for Inter, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper.
It was obvious that Inter had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
R. Andrade could have put Inter up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 71 minutes.
Inter claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.
V. Petrovski performed admirably for Inter.
However,
K. De Ruysscher made a disastrous appearance.
Overpelt1's top performer was clearly
G. Schoot.
D. De Hert was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 4 - 0.
