Clear skies welcomed the 35711 spectators who had made their way to Stadium Geographica. Ramon Schravendijk was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Aimo Santambrogio and Márcio Valente. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 12 minutes into the match left Gregsy's A. Foca completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. One of many good crosses from G. Guest on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by F. Alonso, who scored for Geographica. 1 - 1 25 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but M. Lavi, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. The visitors grabbed the lead after B. Pãun's free kick succeeded, resulting in a score of 1 - 2. A wonderful trick by G. Guest that left M. Lavi bewildered really deserved to end in a goal but the keeper made a fine save. With 32 minutes played, K. Leknes nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Halftime score was 1 - 2. Gregsy enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 66 percent of possession.

When A. Avilez was badly injured by a couple of strong tackles after 64 minutes, Geographica fans were unhappy to discover that it was not possible to make a substitution. Gregsy increased their lead after 80 minutes when M. Brunvoll broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. A. Foca was, after 85 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper W. Poliwoda made the save. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Gregsy, with 69 percent of the ball.

R. Wimmer performed admirably for Geographica. M. Wolf was a disappointment, however. Most important Gregsy player was M. Brunvoll. On the other hand, T. Johansen's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 3.
