Peschek managed a superb strike from the left after 20 minutes that would have left goalkeeper O. Ene without a chance, had it not hit the post. After 32 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed R. Engen to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3. The home crowd was not impressed when B. Mann came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 33 minutes. Rodskov were now up 0 - 4. The players of Rodskov now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. A penalty kick was awarded to Nordströms 42 minutes into the match, and G. Bacher expertly put it away. 1 - 4. Halftime score was 1 - 4. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Rodskov, with 56 percent of the ball.

Content with how the game was proceeding, the Rodskov coach let A. Temperini replace R. Engen after 46 minutes. With 61 minutes played, Rodskov's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to J. Gil de Gibaja he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 1 - 5. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, L. Pápay got himself booked. The manager of Nordströms was not happy. The Rodskov players could smell victory in the air. E. Torp wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for E. Karavokiris after 75 minutes. The referee signalled a penalty 76 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. C. Mayorquín knocked it home to make the score 1 - 6. L. Pápay knew he was in trouble after hacking down an opponent. Despite his pleading with the referee, the Nordströms player was shown a second yellow card and dismissed from the game. 79 minutes into the game, Rodskov worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Nordströms's T. Palolampi got himself booked for a foul. A. Temperini left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 89 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. W. Zaldibar was the replacement. Rodskov had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

Nordströms's top performer was clearly H. Mihaly. On the other hand, F. Rousset's play was disheartening. Most important Rodskov player was B. Mann. M. Arnull was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 6.
