previous 6/10 next 8/10  OSK 5 - 0 Patjakker (392678642)

38095 spectators arrived at De Mini Kuip, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Daniel Zambrowski was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Alejandro Ibarra and Arndt Plepelits. OSK started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. They fielded: Boshart - Doensen, Volders - Mathijsse, Mostert, van Xanten, Ruhi, Sibum - Woestenburg, Fabrie, Verkerck.

Patjakker had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Lineup: Ivanovici - Louwers, Crone, Griever, Vermeeren - Broertjes, Espina, Paulides, Petersen - Wallage, Wierckx.

OSK used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. OSK had a good opportunity to take the lead as A. Woestenburg came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of D. Ivanovici. OSK's J. Mostert got himself booked for a foul. 26 minutes into the game, Patjakker seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to solid. 29 minutes in, Patjakker appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. OSK took the lead 33 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as F. van Xanten elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. J. Mostert increased the lead for OSK to 2 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! 36 minutes into the game, R. Wallage had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came K. Tijssen. The crowd roared its approval when S. Boshart somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Patjakker's A. Paulides 38 minutes into the game. With 39 minutes played, OSK's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to L. Verkerck he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 3 - 0. F. van Xanten left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 39 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. G. Sombroek was the replacement. It was 3 - 0 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to OSK, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.

A review of the gameplan helped Patjakker get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. OSK's G. Sombroek placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but W. Volders couldn't finish. D. Ruhi had a fantastic opportunity to put OSK up another goal 54 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. H. Doensen increased OSK's lead to 4 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball. 74 minutes in, Patjakker's W. Wierckx received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. D. Ruhi unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. 81 minutes into the game, Patjakker seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a solid level of organisation. After 85 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Patjakker found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. OSK solidified their lead at the 86 minute mark, as L. Verkerck dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 0. At this point, it was obvious that the players of OSK lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. OSK claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.

OSK's top performer was clearly A. Woestenburg. H. Doensen turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Patjakker player was without a doubt K. Tijssen. D. Ivanovici on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 0.
