With 39 minutes played, OSK's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to L. Verkerck he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 3 - 0. F. van Xanten left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 39 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. G. Sombroek was the replacement. It was 3 - 0 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to OSK, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.

A review of the gameplan helped Patjakker get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. OSK's G. Sombroek placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but W. Volders couldn't finish. D. Ruhi had a fantastic opportunity to put OSK up another goal 54 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. H. Doensen increased OSK's lead to 4 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball. 74 minutes in, Patjakker's W. Wierckx received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. D. Ruhi unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. 81 minutes into the game, Patjakker seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a solid level of organisation. At this point, it was obvious that the players of OSK lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. OSK's top performer was clearly A. Woestenburg. H. Doensen turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Patjakker player was without a doubt K. Tijssen. D. Ivanovici on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 0.
