After 41 minutes, Cognito raised their score by one when K. Vodsgaard's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by D. Caçapa. 2 - 1. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Wilgenboys scored another to make it 3 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for R. Nassini after 42 minutes. The referee showed Wilgenboys's M. De Mel the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Halftime score was 3 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Cognito, with 54 percent of the ball.

Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Cognito's R. Zwiers was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 50 minutes. J. Krassner was given a chance to change things around. With 55 minutes played, the Cognito coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. L. van Gennip came on, H. Tjarks had to leave the fray. Cognito needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 55 minutes R. Starreveld made way for A. Flandrin. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Wilgenboys's B. Korder increasing the lead to 4 - 1. By now, the players in Wilgenboys felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The Wilgenboys free kick 66 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of V. Garmata, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 5 - 1! With 72 minutes played, S. Bergman had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal. Wilgenboys solidified their lead at the 74 minute mark, as C. Vasseur dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 6 - 1. Cognito's K. Vodsgaard was shown a yellow card after 80 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Possession in this half belonged to Cognito, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

V. Garmata performed admirably for Wilgenboys. J. Baranek on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Cognito player was J. Krassner. However, B. Podskočimas made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 6 - 1.
