Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 33416 to Belloto Arena. Ard Woesthoff was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Huang Chong-Hui and Toomas Arro. A review of the gameplan helped BENI get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. 64 minutes into the game, BENI seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. Coming in from the right, BENI had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 69 minutes, but Á. Varga's attempt to finish was easily stopped. Á. Varga could have made it all square after 73 minutes, if only his free kick had been a few inches to the other side of the post. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by J. Garrigué. At last, Belloto's J. Lubaś was able to backheel the ball in. 2 - 0. BENI needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 78 minutes A. Schelleter made way for U. Christiansson. Belloto had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

Belloto's top performer was clearly M. Darricades. However, J. Garrigué made a disastrous appearance. Most important BENI player was E. Cin. J. Faverau on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 0.
