(392701561)

28-06-2012 00.00
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 10386 to
Tio Patinha Hause.
Robin Gardet was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Andor Allewelt and
Kamil Przygocki.
Donald started off with a 4-5-1 lineup.
Lineup: Kawan - do Couro, Guri, Marcondes, Xavier Lima - Martinello, Domingues, Júnior, Natal, Fumaça - Varella.
Castaway tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Tenniglo - Goudin, Vágási - Canuda, Ridao, Gold, Larsen, Zambranos - Yuhara, Lopes Cruz, de Jesus.
Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Donald.
N. Yuhara came close to putting the visiting team one up 11 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but
M. Kawan managed to tip the ball to a corner.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
M. Natal got himself booked. The manager of Donald was not happy.
The terraces were silenced after 29 minutes when Castaway's
F. Vágási put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right.
The game was close to savage at times, and Donald's
M. Natal received a second yellow card after 34 minutes; his ticket out of the game.
The Donald captaincy was handed to
J. Fumaça.
With the scoreboard showing that 41 minutes had been played, Castaway nearly put themselves up another goal after
M. Lopes Cruz came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save.
Donald's counterattacks created a good chance for
L. Guri on the right after 42 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar.
After 43 minutes,
E. Varella sent the corner kick right to
L. Guri who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 1!
Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 44 minutes into the match left Castaway's
M. de Jesus completely free to score. 1 - 2 for the visitors.
1 - 2 was the score after the first half.
Castaway had most of the ball, with 69 percent of possession.
M. Domingues of Donald was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
B. Zambranos increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 3.
E. Martinello almost reduced the deficit, having drawn the entire left side defence away, but the shot went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper.
After 75 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
R. Larsen to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 4.
Some fine movement on the left led to a Castaway goal after 77 minutes, making it 1 - 5.
N. Yuhara was noted down as the scorer.
After this, you could see that the players of Castaway were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
A. Goudin of Castaway received a yellow card after 79 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
With the clock showing 82 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Donald resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by
M. Domingues in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high.
Possession in this half belonged to Castaway, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.
Donald's top performer was clearly
E. Varella.
M. Domingues turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating Castaway player was without a doubt
R. Larsen.
F. Vágási was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 1 - 5.
