Bordignon 1 - 2 TOGBH
(392703419)

28-06-2012 00.00
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 19050 that came out to
Arena Bordignon.
Fernando Danoz was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Felix Möbius and
Paolo Battiato.
Bordignon had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players took the field: Panga - Gębarski, Lagneau, Cerqueira - Almeida, Walcott, Costa, Öktürk, Manga - Cambraia, Eray.
TOGBH tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
Starters: Gvozdenović - Lorencini, Knudsen, Cadinot - Gracês, Griffioen, Lagassa, Plancke, Faustini - Cabrera, Viana Bueno.
TOGBH tried to focus their attacks down the middle.
With 6 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.
L. Viana Bueno put the ball away for 0 - 1.
With 19 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
T. Lagassa needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
With 25 minutes played,
D. Cabrera nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar.
U. Eray made a superb strike after 36 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner.
TOGBH's
L. Viana Bueno made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 39 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line.
After 40 minutes of play,
M. Cambraia equalised for Bordignon after an elegant attack from the right.
1 - 1 was the halftime score.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by TOGBH, with 58 percent of the ball.
As the 46 minute mark approached, the Bordignon coach decided it was time for a substitution.
U. Eray reluctantly made way for
Y. Bammens on the pitch.
The visiting
V. Gracês was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 56 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score.
G. Griffioen of TOGBH received a yellow card after 63 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Bordignon's
E. Lagneau almost tied things up with 70 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post.
L. Viana Bueno was, after 76 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper
D. Panga made the save.
It wasn't a good day at all for
Y. Bammens. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day.
It was obvious that team TOGBH had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings.
81 minutes into the match,
L. Viana Bueno came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide.
TOGBH had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.
Bordignon's top performer was clearly
M. Cambraia.
D. Cerqueira turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating TOGBH player was without a doubt
L. Viana Bueno.
T. Lagassa was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 1 - 2.
