previous 9/10 next 1/10  Tirol 0 - 2 Wilków (392720181)

Dark skies made the crowd of 1794 at Bergisel a little nervous, but the rain held off. Sélim Abdelhafid was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Eero Vennonen and Niculae Manu. Tirol tactics involved an interesting 5-4-1 combination. Lineup: Plattner - Knabben, Krakowski, Celea, Weeze, Schermutzki - Celik, Cavarzere, Mahringer, Ibertsberger - Heinrich.

A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Wilków. The following players took the field: Tatarczyk - Wojtachnio, Krotoszyński, Kocimski - Tirado, Polnik, Schönburg, Szmalc - Hatami Nia, Kożdoń, Barros.

A. Krotoszyński would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. W. Carlino entered the game for Wilków as the match clock showed 1 minutes. 12 minutes into the match, Wilków nearly took the lead, as W. Polnik broke through on the right. D. Plattner made the save, however. After 19 minutes, the visitors nearly went up a goal, but A. Kożdoń's free kick hit the crossbar. With 28 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. F. Hatami Nia put the ball away for 0 - 1. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Wilków, with 75 percent of the ball.

F. Hatami Nia increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 2. The coach of Wilków was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, A. Wypych came on for E. Schönburg. As the match clock hit 64 minutes, Wilków regrouped to try and keep their initiative in the game. F. Hatami Nia high-fived A. Kożdoń as they swapped positions on the team. F. Hatami Nia left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 65 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. D. Prusko was the replacement. 65 minutes into the game, Wilków worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Wilków's A. Kożdoń made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 66 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. Wilków had most of the ball, with 75 percent of possession.

M. Schermutzki performed admirably for Tirol. M. Mahringer turned in a dismal performance, however. Wilków's best player was D. Prusko. On the other hand, W. Carlino's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 2.
