previous 4/10 next 6/10  psgfifou 1 - 1 F.C.P.Q. (392728045)

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 204 had shown up at Parc des Princes for the match. Qin Chun-shin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Damiano Corazza and Lukasz Rymarczyk. psgfifou had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. They fielded: Bigun - Boyer, Le Priol, Fossier, Guilbault - Bergerot, Delouche, Duhamel, Leperlier - Kącki, Carioca.

F.C.P.Q. decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. Starters: Davchevski - España, Vermelhudo, Guizard, Ishchuk - Parquet, Budinov, Scorobete, Văn Khôi, Zenkl - van Cromvoirt.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of psgfifou. After 13 minutes, F.C.P.Q. were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. I. Vermelhudo did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave H. van Cromvoirt from F.C.P.Q. a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 19 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! psgfifou's counterattack was impressive and was only stopped by a shocking foul. Somehow, the referee's cards remained in his pocket - a terrible decision! J. Delouche's resulting free kick was easily saved by the keeper. 26 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but C. España, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. psgfifou had a chance to take the lead after N. Bergerot's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 28 minutes. 30 minutes into the game, I. Vermelhudo almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. After 30 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as F.C.P.Q. found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to solid. P. Le was called on to replace F.C.P.Q.'s I. Vermelhudo after 31 minutes following a nasty collision. 32 minutes into the game, F.C.P.Q. had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to inadequate. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. F.C.P.Q. enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

The F.C.P.Q. players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. 55 minutes into the game, P. Scorobete had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. Coming in from the right, psgfifou had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 56 minutes, but N. Bergerot's attempt to finish was easily stopped. 60 minutes into the game, psgfifou wanted to bring some new energy to their game. H. Fossier gave B. Perrey a quick hug as he left the field. The referee showed psgfifou's J. Kącki the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. N. Bergerot made a nice dash down the wing after 69 minutes, but was unable to get the cross into the box. A goal kick was awarded. After 73 minutes, the defensive line of psgfifou created a counterattack through the middle that gave J. Delouche a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. After 76 minutes, F.C.P.Q.'s T. Parquet fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! After 79 minutes of play, J. Kącki gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. 80 minutes into the game, F.C.P.Q. seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a weak level of organisation. F.C.P.Q.'s right side looked dangerous 81 minutes in, but T. Bigun made a good save on P. Le's hard shot to the top corner. F.C.P.Q. were close to putting the equaliser away after 83 minutes as the opposing defence lost control of the ball to H. van Cromvoirt in a scuffle towards the left of the goal, but in the end the ball was cleared over the dead ball line. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, P. Zenkl got himself booked. The manager of F.C.P.Q. was not happy. H. van Cromvoirt sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from M. Guizard after 85 minutes of play, making the score 1 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to F.C.P.Q., who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

psgfifou's top performer was clearly A. Carioca. G. Boyer turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating F.C.P.Q. player was without a doubt D. Davchevski. On the other hand, C. España's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 1.
