It had rained all day, but 869 hardy fans still made it out to La Plazoleta. Morten Olsen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Hergen Schwanen and Jean-Jacques Meyer. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Blasphemy's J. Cañavate after 6 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. With 12 minutes played, Charalá's I. Hurtado found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper. Charalá's G. Mazuera was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - J. Guzmán managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 1 - 1 after 15 minutes. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave G. Barion from Charalá a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 18 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! 28 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but L. Vasa, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. It was 1 - 1 at the break. Charalá claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

O. Zhidkonozhchenko would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. H. Hoogland entered the game for Blasphemy as the match clock showed 55 minutes. G. Van Thorre was handed the Blasphemy captain's armband. It was a bad day for the usually speedy E. Jańczak. The mud seemed to slow him down. An opportunity to take the lead after 71 minutes was wasted as Blasphemy's L. Vasa missed a penalty, firing wide of the mark. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 74 minutes allowed D. Burghelea to score for Blasphemy. The scoreboard now read 1 - 2. A. Czupryn wanted to play on, but the Blasphemy coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 75 minutes into the game by G. Kowalak. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, N. Ilarduya got himself booked. The manager of Charalá was not happy. No matter how hard he tried, J. Zúñiga just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 78 minutes. 79 minutes into the match, Charalá's J. Zúñiga maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 2 - 2. After 89 minutes, the Blasphemy coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving C. Refiğ off the field. A. Ménoret took his place. Charalá had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

After the regular 90 minutes, the agony of extra time followed. After 93 minutes, Blasphemy put themselves up 2 - 3, as J. Cañavate finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. Extra time over, Blasphemy were the victors! Charalá's best player was M. Güacaneme. G. Barion on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Blasphemy player was G. Kowalak. On the other hand, N. Violeau's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 3.
