Clear skies welcomed the 4118 spectators who had made their way to
Kingdom of Heaven.
Maik Trautwein was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Yao Hwen Thiang and
Toni Boellaard.
Amateros started off with a 2-3-3 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Pintens - Dirda, Spona - Beghyn, Lancia, Gačanin - Forti, Heritty, Strava.
Lokomotiv decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Starters: Garde - Castberg, Birch, Linneberg - Jakobsen, Frank, Elsgaard, Kastholdt, Eilersen - Kastholdt, Martinussen.
Lokomotiv demonstrated their creative tactics on the field.
Lokomotiv's
M. Eilersen placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but
P. Elsgaard couldn't finish.
After a fine move down the middle
M. Dirda nearly gave the home side a goal after 9 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide.
D. Piazzolla was called on to replace Lokomotiv's
J. Castberg after 17 minutes following a nasty collision.
20 minutes into the game, Amateros had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
passable.
After 27 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Amateros found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
passable.
After 31 minutes, Lokomotiv put themselves up 0 - 1, as
J. Martinussen finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot.
34 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as
E. Jakobsen finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
The players of Lokomotiv now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
38 minutes in, Amateros appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
inadequate.
K. Kastholdt of Lokomotiv took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 39 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 3.
Lokomotiv made it 0 - 4 as
K. Kastholdt got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to
D. Linneberg who whipped a low drive in off the far post.
With 44 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
C. Kastholdt of Lokomotiv to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 5.
Halftime score was 0 - 5.
Lokomotiv had most of the ball, with 78 percent of possession.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Amateros had
solid organisation.
Lokomotiv's
E. Jakobsen made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 51 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line.
That Lokomotiv's
K. Kastholdt has the ability of doing what no one expects him to do was shown as he ran over an opposing defender, snatched the ball and passed to
J. Martinussen who hit it hard into the wide open goal after 65 minutes: 0 - 6!
After 68 minutes of game time,
D. Linneberg had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
G. Pintens was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner.
Lokomotiv came close to extending their lead as
J. Martinussen delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 73 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting.
74 minutes into the game, Amateros seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
passable level of organisation.
M. Eilersen received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 77 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 7. The Lokomotiv fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
81 minutes into the game, Amateros seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
inadequate.
Lokomotiv claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 79 percent.
Amateros's top performer was clearly
R. Gačanin.
E. Lancia turned in a dismal performance, however.
Most important Lokomotiv player was
J. Martinussen.
C. Kastholdt was a disappointment, however.
