(392769413)

27-06-2012 12.30
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Arena stadium saw a crowd turnout of 1491.
Arie Tempelmans was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Kai Gruse and
Felix Alexander Prestin.
f.c.nippon decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
Starters: Tamburrelli - Prada, 花田 (Hanada), Littlefield, 佐藤 (Sato) - Silvestre, 池上 (Ikegami), Cortada, Redforth - García-Puerta, Mastropasqua.
Sole had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Minin - Lushi, Lualdi, Sargiotta, Mailleux, Gallantina - Mendiburu, Schluneker, Bisegna - Kosourov, Husayn.
For their match strategy, Sole had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
The referee showed Sole's
P. Gallantina the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
裕. 佐藤 (Sato) was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so f.c.nippon's
R. Sánchez Peralta had to come off the bench.
R. Schluneker came close to putting the visiting team one up 17 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but
L. Tamburrelli managed to tip the ball to a corner.
f.c.nippon's
S. Mastropasqua got himself booked for a foul.
31 minutes into the match, Sole nearly took the lead, as
R. Schluneker broke through on the right.
L. Tamburrelli made the save, however.
After 36 minutes, the defensive line of Sole created a counterattack through the middle that gave
A. Husayn a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
It was 0 - 0 at the break.
Sole had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.
Sole's
A. Husayn could have put the guests one up after 51 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but
L. Tamburrelli was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose.
C. Ubaldez was called on to replace f.c.nippon's
R. Sánchez Peralta after 71 minutes following a nasty collision.
In a rapid move 74 minutes into the match,
S. Mastropasqua of f.c.nippon lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked
M. García-Puerta who easily hit it home to make it 1 - 0. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy!
K. Mendiburu came close to levelling the score 88 minutes into the game, as he was set up with a through ball coming in from the left, but his shot hit the post.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
C. Ubaldez from f.c.nippon a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 88 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Sole claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.
Most important f.c.nippon player was
D. Cortada.
C. Ubaldez on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The most dominating Sole player was without a doubt
R. Schluneker.
K. Mendiburu was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 1 - 0.
