previous 7/10 next 9/10  Saurat 3 - 3 Rockets27 (392773112)

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 1023 had shown up at Saurat Park for the match. Cédric Leconte was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Guido Fischer and Alaón Calera. Saurat tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. They fielded: Björnsson - Gyula, Jaïdi, Delibozov - Andújar, Eschbach, Bollen, Scsitovics, Lantavos - Bochsen, Fieggen.

Rockets27 had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Condorelli - Leducq, Philippe, Froissard - Mondon, Trubert, Persée, Bartołd, Drelon - Monteillet, Malvik.

Given a free kick close to the byline, Rockets27 tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let J. Malvik slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 1, 19 minutes into the game. Due to some great work on the right wing Saurat's N. Lantavos was able to even the score after 26 minutes to make the score 1 - 1. The terraces were silenced after 28 minutes when Rockets27's J. Malvik put the guests ahead 1 - 2, following an attack on the right. J. Malvik received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 29 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 3. The Rockets27 fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. That made three goals for J. Malvik and he was marked down for the hat trick. A. Trubert could have added one to the visitors' lead if his free kick had gone just a little lower. Halftime score was 1 - 3. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Rockets27, with 58 percent of the ball.

It took several tries, but Saurat managed to break through on the left after 48 minutes, getting the ball to R. Bollen who easily reduced the lead to make the score 2 - 3. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave L. Philippe from Rockets27 a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 52 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The home crowd cheered when, after 58 minutes, J. Malvik's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. Saurat tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play. The crowd chanted their encouragement as Saurat's A. Bochsen came in from the right after 74 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 3 - 3. Rockets27 had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

The most dominating Saurat player was without a doubt L. Scsitovics. However, R. Bollen made a disastrous appearance. Rockets27's top performer was clearly R. Bartołd. B. Froissard was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 3.
