26-06-2012 19.10
The 834 spectators at
fc.fes mahjo were in for an afternoon of sunshine.
Bogdan Mocanu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Dan Duggan and
Bartłomiej Nikielski.
fc.fes had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
Lineup: Sterck - Terzi, Renelli, Penkala, Beati - Cepeda, Chantreau, Liboni, Grønbech - Gach, De Vos.
Internazionale tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Kutiš - Fernandes, Fazzi, Salinas, Tarterini - Rothmaier, Keserović, Anestiadi, Pásztor, Speliers - Mango.
After 15 minutes, the home side was awarded a penalty. The visitors protested wildly but the referee was adamant.
N. Chantreau easily put the ball away to give the lead to fc.fes. 1 - 0
Some things can only be learned through experience, and
R. Pásztor should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting fc.fes a goal with 16 minutes of the match played.
G. Fazzi could have made it all square after 18 minutes, if only his free kick had been a few inches to the other side of the post.
24 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 1 - 1 as
G. Anestiadi struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right.
1 - 1 was the score after the first half.
Internazionale enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 74 percent of possession.
The sun seemed to put
G. Anestiadi in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long.
Internazionale took the lead 55 minutes into the game, making the score 1 - 2 after some elegant movement down the middle.
E. Mango was the scorer.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
R. Pásztor got himself booked. The manager of Internazionale was not happy.
Some fine movement on the left led to a Internazionale goal after 64 minutes, making it 1 - 3.
G. Anestiadi was noted down as the scorer.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
G. Fazzi after 75 minutes, and prevented Internazionale from going up another goal.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
T. Cepeda from fc.fes a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 77 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
K. Speliers came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over
R. Sterck but overcooked it and hit the bar instead.
Internazionale claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 75 percent.
fc.fes's best player was
N. Chantreau.
G. Liboni was a disappointment, however.
G. Anestiadi performed admirably for Internazionale.
However,
C. Salinas made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 1 - 3.
