2666 punters turned up at
Olimpico Ungredda, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came.
Leonardo Juliani was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Patryk Wicha and
Gaston Ruiter.
UngreddaFC decided to use a 2-5-3 set up.
Starters: bin Rasdi - Csóti, Huamancaja - Cisneros, Teeven, Maurinen, Frâncu, Gorrieri - Ekelschot, Loser, da Fonseca.
Petrovčani had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation.
The following players took the field: Purgał - Palandri, Lokas - Kurzeja, Stukalov, Almaş, Santoso, Panconi - Povalec, Ertekin, Guardamino.
They were singing the praises of
M. Teeven 6 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to UngreddaFC.
After 11 minutes,
M. Gorrieri put UngreddaFC ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
The players of UngreddaFC now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
UngreddaFC put themselves up 3 - 0 when
G. Loser broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
The referee showed Petrovčani's
Ş. Ertekin the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
In a fantastic display of determination, UngreddaFC's
A. da Fonseca forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down.
23 minutes in, Petrovčani appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
weak.
UngreddaFC increased the lead as
A. da Fonseca struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
A. Csóti increased UngreddaFC's lead to 5 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball.
It was 5 - 0 at the break.
UngreddaFC claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 83 percent.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Petrovčani had
passable organisation.
UngreddaFC's
D. Frâncu increased the lead to 6 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 60 minutes.
UngreddaFC solidified their lead at the 65 minute mark, as
A. da Fonseca dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 7 - 0.
77 minutes into the game, Petrovčani seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
passable level of organisation.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as UngreddaFC scored another to make it 8 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
D. Frâncu after 79 minutes.
Petrovčani's
M. Palandri was shown a yellow card after 80 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
After 85 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
A. da Fonseca gave the UngreddaFC supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 9 - 0.
That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for
A. da Fonseca.
UngreddaFC had most of the ball, with 85 percent of possession.
A. da Fonseca performed admirably for UngreddaFC.
On the other hand,
M. bin Rasdi's play was disheartening.
Petrovčani's best player was
M. Palandri.
E. Guardamino turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 9 - 0.
