Beiuş 4 - 1 Suburban
(392811682)

27-06-2012 10.00
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 1219 to
Tâmpăscu Arena.
Damiën Goyvaerts was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Paulo Dias and
Norbert Berghoff.
Beiuş tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination.
They fielded: Colin - Surowaniec, Brinson - Vătavu, Vasile, Ekrem, Agăfiţei, Rokić - Mikelj, Sousa Gomes, Kuter.
Suburban started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Szalai - Gelderlander, Troelsen, Eilersen - Wancour, Olrik, Panum, Yding, Brassai - Weber, Kofod.
Beiuş clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
Beiuş broke through on the left 3 minutes into the game, with
J. Sousa Gomes firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
M. Vătavu squirmed through their central defence after 18 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0.
Morale on the visitors' bench was greatly improved when their
A. Kofod reduced the lead to make it 2 - 1 after 19 minutes, following a pass from the right.
20 minutes in, Beiuş appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
inadequate.
J. Troelsen of Suburban was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 28 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when
J. Troelsen tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper.
V. Mikelj of Beiuş received a yellow card after 29 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
2 - 1 was the halftime score.
Suburban claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Beiuş had
solid organisation.
The Beiuş free kick 53 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
I. Vasile, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 3 - 1!
Beiuş managed to extend their lead to 4 - 1 when
M. Vătavu cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
80 minutes into the game, Beiuş seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
poor level of organisation.
Suburban had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.
Beiuş's best player was
J. Sousa Gomes.
On the other hand,
M. Ekrem's play was disheartening.
Suburban's top performer was clearly
X. Wancour.
M. Gelderlander was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 4 - 1.
