With 76 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, A. Ladet needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. We may never know what A. Ladet was thinking when he tried to pass the ball through a crowd of opponents. Luckily for him, Salernitara's E. Pettinato somehow missed the wide open net. With 82 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed D. Rinnaudo of Salernitara to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 5. The players of Salernitara now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Salernitara, with 76 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Borussia player was without a doubt C. Riccardo. On the other hand, J. Ippolito's play was disheartening. Salernitara's top performer was clearly F. Carlea. S. Montecucco turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 5.
