Esmeralda's S. de Voest showed his experience after 10 minutes, as he expertly set himself up to take advantage of a rebound off the crossbar, but his shot was tipped harmlessly out of the way. What was R. Rostkowski thinking? That's what everyone wondered when, for no apparent reason, he shot a cross pass over his own penalty area, giving J. Kasowski an extra chance, but unfortunately for A.S.Quadrifoglio, he didn't get the shot right. With 27 minutes played, after a good run down the left, J. Kasowski went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. G. Beel sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from J. Kasowski after 31 minutes of play, making the score 1 - 1. M. Iza delivered a good free kick from an excellent position 32 minutes into the game, but luck wasn't on Esmeralda's side this time and the ball went wide. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Esmeralda, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

46 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Esmeralda substitution. E. Pennati came on for S. de Voest. 55 minutes in, A.S.Quadrifoglio's S. Zecca received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 65 minutes into the match left Esmeralda's G. Tambini completely free to score. 1 - 2 for the visitors. J. Moskáľ wanted to play on, but the Esmeralda coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 75 minutes into the game by G. Castro. Esmeralda had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 77 minutes, but G. Tambini's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. A. de Bakker tried to get a goal back for A.S.Quadrifoglio but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move. In a rapid move 87 minutes into the match, K. Fill of A.S.Quadrifoglio lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked S. Zecca who easily hit it home to make it 2 - 3. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy! M. Kornum increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 2 - 4. Esmeralda had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

Most important A.S.Quadrifoglio player was D. Duijsenberg. S. Zecca turned in a dismal performance, however. Esmeralda's top performer was clearly M. Kornum. G. Castro was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 4.
