previous 4/10 next 6/10  Moretti 3 - 2 Dinamo (392819746)

27000 spectators had come to La Piastra this cloudy day. Louis de Zwart was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mauro Jaña and Kevin Eitler. Moretti started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Károlyi - Harding, Ivica, Suárez - Szulik, Ambrosioni, Michalica, Furnari, Chorąży - Arze, Marsetti.

Dinamo decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: Antonacci - 永权 (Yongquan), Desson, Cruciani - Valmoggia, Piroddi, Chiacchio, De Landtsheer, Chiodarelli - Gökbulut, Pflederer.

Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Moretti's M. Chorąży somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for V. Marsetti, who struck for 1 - 0. Moretti's M. Harding had an excellent opportunity after 38 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Moretti's A. Ambrosioni got himself booked for a foul. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Dinamo had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

Things were deteriorating for the away team as Moretti scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for V. Marsetti after 59 minutes. A well-placed free kick by Dinamo's B. De Landtsheer reduced the lead to 2 - 1. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Dinamo's T. Valmoggia was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 71 minutes. H. Lauten was given a chance to change things around. With 74 minutes played, M. Furnari of Moretti fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. After 75 minutes, B. De Landtsheer sent the corner kick right to N. Cruciani who headed it sharply past the keeper. 2 - 2! Possession in this half belonged to Dinamo, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

As neither team had managed to win, extra time was called. They were singing the praises of M. Harding 110 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 3 - 2 to Moretti. Game over, Moretti win! Moretti's top performer was clearly A. Ambrosioni. However, M. Harding made a disastrous appearance. Dinamo's best player was C. Antonacci. C. Gökbulut turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 2.
