Damen elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. In a rapid move 37 minutes into the match, E. Damen of Deportivo lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked N. Paschini who easily hit it home to make it 2 - 0. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy! R. Schildorfer of Deportivo was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish Y. Spanosotiropoulos, which resulted in a goal making the score 3 - 0. A great save by keeper F. De Kesel after 39 minutes kept the visitors in the game after N. Paschini struck from the left with a real cannonball. E. Damen left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 40 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. M. Umilta was the replacement. 3 - 0 was the score after the first half. Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.

The coach of Deportivo was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 50 minutes, C. Chiacchioli came on for R. Rivera. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, C. Chiacchioli took over the role of being the Deportivo captain. With 60 minutes played, the excellent ball from the wing by Caront3's H. Šangala reached G. Konovalov's head, and he is not one to miss such an opportunity - 3 - 1. The visitors got one back when G. Alemanno finished off a pass from the left and scored after 61 minutes. 3 - 2 was the score. 70 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Y. Soon Meng broke through, making the score 4 - 2 for Deportivo. After this, you could see that the players of Deportivo were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 79 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving G. Alemanno completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper. Deportivo had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

Deportivo's best player was N. Paschini. S. Lussu was a disappointment, however. Caront3's top performer was clearly P. Di Campli. H. Šangala on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 2.
