Clear skies welcomed the 53525 spectators who had made their way to Mestni Stadion Ormož. Pedro Cotera was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Zenon Szafran and Marc Manhalter. Tvedsborg's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. The referee showed CO Ormož's D. Caxias the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. CO Ormož claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

With 50 minutes played, the CO Ormož coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. R. Ibarrola came on, H. Sobreiro had to leave the fray. As the game started to slip away for CO Ormož, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the CO Ormož manager used a brief break in play after 50 minutes to give the players new directives. After 57 minutes of game time, A. Grininas had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but P. Ezerkalns was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. CO Ormož's A. Mourier got himself booked for a foul. L. Cardoso's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for Boci, he bravely continued in the match. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, R. Jongen would have put Boci up another goal 64 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. With 67 minutes played, after a good run down the left, G. Maggiore went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. After 68 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave L. Cardoso a chance to increase the lead for Boci, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. The coach of Boci was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 69 minutes, N. Pires came on for I. Botonjič. CO Ormož's D. Caxias found himself alone on the left side 76 minutes into the match and laid down a perfect shot - right into the arms of the keeper! Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by CO Ormož, with 55 percent of the ball.

The most dominating CO Ormož player was without a doubt J. Waymark. However, R. Ibarrola made a disastrous appearance. Boci's top performer was clearly J. Šegovič. L. Cardoso was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
