Neded mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. The visiting M. Martinotta was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 6 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. It might be a while before the fans see Zhovažihe's K. Blisse again, after he had to leave the field in great distress at the 16 minute mark. He was replaced by B. Pohorský. After 33 minutes, J. Karabčík made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 1 - 1. There was concern in the stands when, at the 34 minute mark, Neded's J. Van Looy hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Neded enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

With 71 minutes played J. Gabriel almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Vykroč from Zhovažihe a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 76 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Neded's T. Rončinský went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. After 85 minutes Zhovažihe's B. Pohorský contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. The terraces were silenced after 87 minutes when Zhovažihe's F. Topoľan put the guests ahead 1 - 2, following an attack on the right. Neded had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for Neded, but J. Karabčík's shot went over the bar. Neded's T. Rončinský made an attempt at equalising 89 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. A drive down the left side allowed F. Topoľan to get in close and score another goal for Zhovažihe after 89 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 3. Neded claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

B. Kapák performed admirably for Neded. S. Bubňák on the other hand, had a terrible day. Zhovažihe's best player was R. Noboa. On the other hand, B. Pohorský's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 3.
