cheslyn 1 - 3 Tanner
(392829827)

04-07-2012 04.00
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 24818 that came out to
cheslyn.
Anders Persson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Juan Carlos Romero and
Carmelo Azócar.
cheslyn had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation.
They fielded: Blaas - Robertson, Schlossers, Sam, Schweren, Roberts - Jacovone, Claesson, Birçe - Strugo, Poursaitidis.
Tanner decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Starters: Quỳnh - Ghia, Farr-Jones, Gallen - Puyal, Hunt, Csontos, Allemann, Poudineh - Schönerlinde, Mkapa.
Á. Csontos enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again.
Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 13 minutes into the match, and
S. Gallen wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors.
G. Hunt increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 2.
The home crowd cheered when, after 21 minutes,
G. Hunt's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day.
0 - 2 was the score after the first half.
Tanner enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.
R. Sam didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play.
With 57 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
S. Mkapa of Tanner to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3.
The coach of Tanner was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 57 minutes,
E. Jack came on for
M. Schönerlinde.
J. Puyal left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 57 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
J. Binbinga was the replacement.
In the lead, Tanner adjusted their style of play with 57 minutes gone.
Tanner's
E. Jack was shown a yellow card after 62 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
S. Gallen seemed highly inexperienced when, after 66 minutes, he was caught dilly-dallying with the ball and allowed
D. Poursaitidis to intercept and strike home the goal for cheslyn to make the score 1 - 3.
R. Allemann received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 67 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score.
The referee showed cheslyn's
D. Schweren the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Due to a severely mistimed tackle,
M. Farr-Jones of Tanner spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game.
S. Birçe challenged the visitors' central defence eagerly, producing a good chance 75 minutes into the game as he went for a through ball. But, as so many times before, the guests' defensive efforts got the best of it.
Possession in this half belonged to cheslyn, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.
cheslyn's best player was
J. Claesson.
O. Strugo turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating Tanner player was without a doubt
S. Mkapa.
On the other hand,
R. Allemann's play was disheartening.
The match ends 1 - 3.
