This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when T. Karaspasov slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against Á. Balázs, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. Mechanical were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. 16 minutes in, PELIQUEIROS's H. Denize received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Mechanical were forced into a substitution as D. Busto couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing F. Sanvitti to come in off the bench. After 19 minutes, PELIQUEIROS's J. Esponellà made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. Mechanical's A. Content with how the game was proceeding, the PELIQUEIROS coach let P. Cives replace H. Manteigas after 55 minutes. With 60 minutes played, the Mechanical coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. G. Rizzi came on, A. Urrutia had to leave the fray. After 68 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for L. Mendariz who increased PELIQUEIROS's lead to 0 - 2. The home crowd was not impressed when A. Valdés Velázquez came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 77 minutes. PELIQUEIROS were now up 0 - 3. PELIQUEIROS increased their lead after 85 minutes when A. Valdés Velázquez broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 4, much to the home crowd's dismay. By now, the players in PELIQUEIROS felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave L. Mendariz from PELIQUEIROS a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 86 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Possession in this half belonged to PELIQUEIROS, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

Mechanical's best player was B. Hovorka. On the other hand, R. Reina's play was disheartening. The most dominating PELIQUEIROS player was without a doubt L. Mendariz. T. Karaspasov was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 4.
