previous 2/10 next 4/10  Cacho_Coia 2 - 1 Dragons (392848143)

It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 44130 that came out to Reino da Galiza. Andrea Frascone was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Filippo Masutto and Henric T. Hartman. Cacho_Coia had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. Starters: Astort - Perucha, de Mora - Colobran, Prior, Valdelomar, Dazar, Biedma - Gallego, Plans, Gandia.

Dragons decided to use a 5-3-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Nebreda - Pujol, Albà, Dutra, Lacasa, Fernández Casariego - Compte, Vasiljević, Sanz - Penah, Krameri.

Dragons clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. The crowd groaned its disapproval when J. Colobran missed a free kick that would have given Cacho_Coia the lead after 29 minutes. Good work by the Dragons defensive line after 30 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found R. Compte alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. Dragons will have to do without G. Lacasa for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 33 minute mark. He was substituted by Q. Avelar. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Cacho_Coia enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

J. Gandia caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 51 minutes. This gave Cacho_Coia the 1 - 0 lead. V. Plans left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 54 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. A. Pasiego was the replacement. A really bad tackle inside the penalty area 68 minutes into the match gave the referee no other choice but to award the visiting Dragons a penalty. N. Sanz knocked it home. 1 - 1 A counterattack by Dragons after 69 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but D. Penah, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off. 71 minutes in, Dragons's J. Pujol received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. With 79 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 2 - 1 lead as A. Pasiego flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Cacho_Coia, with 69 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Cacho_Coia player was without a doubt J. Gandia. M. Biedma was a disappointment, however. Dragons's best player was D. Penah. Q. Avelar turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
