ATK took the lead after 3 minutes as a result of C. Maniu's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0. Kybalion had a chance to level the score as M. Roj suddenly found himself free in the middle of the box with only the keeper to beat, but he misjudged the finish, and only managed to hit the bar. The visitors' equaliser seemed sure to come after 36 minutes, following a one on one situation around the left hand side of the goal area, but S. Payne got the best of it, blocking the shot from M. Laurell. Against a lesser team, ATK could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 38 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. J. Muñoz finished off a quick charge from the left of the field by chipping the ball just past the home side's keeper, making the score 1 - 1 40 minutes into the match. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Kybalion claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

46 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Kybalion substitution. G. Marom came on for J. Anguiano. The fierce heat made it important to save breath, and after a few swift runs A. Ozores found it hard to get back into position. As the 67 minute mark approached, the Kybalion coach decided it was time for a substitution. J. Muñoz reluctantly made way for O. Mariakis on the pitch. U. Dosaigües hit the corner kick straight to the keeper, but it was mishandled, giving Kybalion's O. Mariakis an easy chance to knock it in for 1 - 2. 74 minutes into the game, Kybalion were awarded a penalty and S. León Arteaga was able to increase the visitors' lead to 1 - 3 rolling the ball in by the right post. S. Payne got a fingertip on O. Mariakis's shot from the left 84 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. After 85 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for M. Roj who increased Kybalion's lead to 1 - 4. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Kybalion lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Kybalion, with 57 percent of the ball.

S. Al-Ismail performed admirably for ATK. R. Lockemann was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Kybalion player was without a doubt A. Cardama. However, U. Dosaigües made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 4.
