41359 punters turned up at L'Escorxador, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Timothy Caputo was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Massimiliano Lolini and Sapian bin Mahamad. People from all over Catalunya had joined up for the derby. At 8 minutes played, V. Trybushniy came in from the right with the intention of giving Portobello the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. Down the middle came N. Desplans, making a fantastic play that nearly had Catllar take the lead after 29 minutes, but M. Serret preserved the tie. Making his way up the middle 30 minutes into the match, V. Trybushniy almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert O. Bataglin blocked it to keep the score level. After 36 minutes, a long pass from Catllar's P. Forsberg caught the defence out of position. Á. Puente collected the ball, and with the goal at his mercy calmly rolled the ball just inside the post. 0 - 1. Portobello's M. Simml was shown a yellow card after 37 minutes for slicing down an opponent. M. Hammemi of Catllar had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. F. Peláez came in to finish the match. L. Ovesson charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for Portobello, but the shot went well wide of the goal. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Portobello, with 56 percent of the ball.

Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Portobello's M. Simml was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 55 minutes. S. Merchant was given a chance to change things around. With 67 minutes played, A. da Costa of Portobello fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Catllar coach let M. Vrba replace E. El-Shadi after 70 minutes. After 71 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Á. Puente who increased Catllar's lead to 0 - 2. Portobello needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 71 minutes V. Trybushniy made way for R. Stenberg. With 72 minutes played, the Portobello coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. E. Bransuel came on, M. Grenflod had to leave the fray. Portobello's J. Carlsson got himself booked for a foul. A loud groan was heard from the fans of Catllar, as J. Eich left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. E. Garardi took his place on the field. F. Peláez of Catllar seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 0 - 3 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by M. Bucchi. Unsportsmanlike behaviour by A. da Costa rendered him his second booking of the match, and Portobello had to finish the game with a reduced squad. Catllar had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

Portobello's best player was M. Serret. S. Merchant turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Catllar player was without a doubt N. Desplans. However, F. Peláez made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 3.
