Butkovič was, after 31 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper J. del Naranjo made the save. Walmiera's J. Conde had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 32 minutes having been played. F. Hirzel was the replacement. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. Grāmatvedis had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

A penalty was awarded after 62 minutes, and G. Cariboni made the most of his chance to put Grāmatvedis up by another goal. 0 - 3 for the visitors. After 63 minutes of game time, M. Buonfantino had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but J. del Naranjo was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. 66 minutes into the match, T. Benoît came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grāmatvedis, with 54 percent of the ball.
