previous 3/3 next 2/3  Ragdolls 1 - 8 Laudenbach (392855786)

A scorching day at Mäusefänger Arena, where 556 spectators were in place for today's match. Joram Hoeneveld was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Cédric Bélanger and Tudorel Giurgiu. Ragdolls started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Pipal - Gramer, Zaussinger, Waldstein - Seerosen, Baltaxe, Richels, Anger-Niklis, Vosse - Dina, Koenigsegg.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Laudenbach. Starters: Jesteburg - Vega Rivero, Sklenička, Meissner - Pagliano, Szabadi, Vincke, Pulow, Miesl - Olivella, Schletter.

Ragdolls were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. Laudenbach saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 3 minutes, Laudenbach did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, J. Sklenička was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 1. With 8 minutes played, C. Miesl of Laudenbach fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. With 14 minutes having been played, Ragdolls scored to make it 1 - 1. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but D. Zaussinger was marked down as the scorer. H. Waldstein acted foolishly after 15 minutes, giving the ball up to Laudenbach's B. Olivella who had no trouble finding the back of the net. 1 - 2. With 19 minutes played, Laudenbach put themselves up 1 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was C. Miesl. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Laudenbach lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. A drive down the left side allowed A. Vincke to get in close and score another goal for Laudenbach after 27 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 4. Laudenbach increased their lead after 30 minutes when G. Pagliano broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 5, much to the home crowd's dismay. After 32 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave V. Vega Rivero a chance to increase the lead for Laudenbach, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 6. Halftime score was 1 - 6. Laudenbach claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.

The fierce heat made it important to save breath, and after a few swift runs F. Pulow found it hard to get back into position. The coach of Laudenbach was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, Z. Prusik came on for C. Miesl. H. Seerosen almost reduced the deficit, having drawn the entire left side defence away, but the shot went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper. The Laudenbach players could smell victory in the air. V. Vega Rivero wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for İ. Aygen after 70 minutes. The Laudenbach captaincy was handed to İ. Aygen. After 71 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed F. Pulow to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 7. Z. Prusik received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 72 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 8. The Laudenbach fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Laudenbach coach let G. Martens replace A. Szabadi after 75 minutes. Laudenbach's R. Schletter made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 80 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. 81 minutes in, Ragdolls's M. Dina received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Laudenbach, with 66 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Ragdolls player was without a doubt M. Dina. D. Baltaxe on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Laudenbach player was B. Olivella. However, R. Jesteburg made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 8.
