Labarca received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 13 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Calisante fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The referee showed Balletjes's W. Berson the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. With 15 minutes played, J. Ablanedo nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Halftime score was 0 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Calisante, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.

The intense heat forced P. Gerhold into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. After 60 minutes, L. Frid had a good opportunity to reduce the scoreline for Balletjes with a chance created through the middle, but wasn't cool enough. The ball went miles over the bar. P. Gerhold left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 65 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. R. Truman was the replacement. After 72 minutes of game time, J. Ablanedo had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but M. Sasse was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile J. Ablanedo. After 75 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for F. Haga who increased Calisante's lead to 0 - 3. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Calisante lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The Calisante players could smell victory in the air. S. Labarca wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for E. Zamir after 78 minutes. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Calisante, with 65 percent of the ball.

Balletjes's best player was L. Frid. R. Schreurs was a disappointment, however. E. Zamir performed admirably for Calisante. M. MacDaniell turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 3.
