Rostgaard was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by A. Warmerdam, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. O. Kravets of Fessie took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 31 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. Fessie had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

S. Laban wanted to play on, but the Fessie coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by J. van Daatselaar. Some fine movement on the left led to a Fessie goal after 49 minutes, making it 0 - 3. F. Díaz de Cadorniga was noted down as the scorer. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Fessie coach let L. Invernizzi replace N. Bonde Nielsen after 60 minutes. After 68 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for O. Kravets who increased Fessie's lead to 0 - 4. heauwei refused to be intimidated and, breaking through the middle, T. Skegg managed to slip the ball home for 1 - 4. I. van Turenhout was called on to replace heauwei's H. Ruell after 75 minutes following a nasty collision. R. Ramakers received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 81 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 5. The Fessie fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Confident in their lead, Fessie's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. After 84 minutes, Fessie's L. Invernizzi burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 6. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Fessie, with 56 percent of the ball.

heauwei's top performer was clearly T. Skegg. I. van Turenhout turned in a dismal performance, however. S. van Huut performed admirably for Fessie. S. Szmyt was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 6.
