Girlpower Arena, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came.
Hans-Toby Kolitsch was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Edgar Gör and
Rubén Ortiz.
CWAM started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Kryjak - Shakhverdov, Starre, Croonen - Netelenbos, Larios Zavala, Wijzenbeek, Šarić, Massai - Castellano, Romero.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Vlampijpse.
They fielded: Loevestein - Pedra, Stoifl, Knap - Rodinovas, Hizurun, Atanasov, Cederin, Haraldsson - Borkent, Gefen.
G. Wijzenbeek of CWAM seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
C. Starre.
With 8 minutes played,
L. Rodinovas of Vlampijpse fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
21 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 1 - 1 as
N. Haraldsson struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right.
CWAM could have put themselves ahead after 22 minutes but
H. Netelenbos missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right.
Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 28 minutes into the match left Vlampijpse's
C. Borkent completely free to score. 1 - 2 for the visitors.
Vlampijpse's
A. Atanasov got himself booked for a foul.
The home crowd was not impressed when
A. Atanasov came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 38 minutes. Vlampijpse were now up 1 - 3.
After 39 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
É. Pedra to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 4.
C. Knap received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 41 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 5. The Vlampijpse fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
The players of Vlampijpse now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
It was 1 - 5 at the break.
Vlampijpse enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.
C. Knap wanted to play on, but the Vlampijpse coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 70 minutes into the game by
E. Mieloszyk.
With 81 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
M. Hizurun of Vlampijpse to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 1 - 6.
Vlampijpse increased their lead after 88 minutes when
S. Gefen broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 7, much to the home crowd's dismay.
After 89 minutes, Vlampijpse's
A. Cederin fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
Vlampijpse claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.
Most important CWAM player was
C. Starre.
However,
H. Netelenbos made a disastrous appearance.
Vlampijpse's top performer was clearly
C. Borkent.
On the other hand,
E. Mieloszyk's play was disheartening.
