A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 27666 to Cieszanów Arena. Samuel Svensson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ahmet Onur Yücel and Efstratios Kalergis. Cieszanów started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. They fielded: Dvergsdal - Pedraza, Gyulev, Donat, Huba - Stańczuk, Cywiński, Wojtoń, Graber, Mikosz - Roncoroni.

Wankers decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Žeimelis - Kawiński, Ylöstalo, Sandberg - Winiak, Brudaru, Longis, Pohjanjousi, Gajowniczek - Rokvić, Fiore.

Wankers were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. Wankers's L. Pohjanjousi was shown a yellow card after 3 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Due to a severely mistimed tackle, S. Graber of Cieszanów spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. P. Donat's lack of experience almost gave Wankers a goal after 12 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. Wankers's N. Fiore placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but C. Brudaru couldn't finish. J. Winiak of Wankers received a yellow card after 31 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. An accurate cross from S. Stańczuk of Cieszanów was met with a wonderful glancing header from W. Mikosz, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 1 - 0. Cieszanów's S. Stańczuk saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 40 minutes. The visitors' L. Pohjanjousi was alert after a cross coming in from the left, levelling the score at 1 - 1 after 41 minutes. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Cieszanów enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

Cieszanów could have put themselves ahead after 52 minutes but P. Roncoroni missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. S. Graber wasn't much help defensively. His energy-consuming forward runs proved quite costly in the oppressive heat. This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when N. Fiore slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against B. Dvergsdal, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. After 79 minutes, Wankers's F. Longis fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! Cieszanów had a chance to take the lead after W. Mikosz's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 80 minutes. 83 minutes into the match, Wankers nearly took the lead, as K. Gajowniczek broke through on the right. B. Dvergsdal made the save, however. The referee showed Cieszanów's F. Huba the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Wankers's L. Pohjanjousi could have put the guests one up after 87 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but B. Dvergsdal was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. Possession in this half belonged to Cieszanów, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

Still tied after 90 minutes, the match continued into extra time. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to P. Roncoroni, but the Cieszanów player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 2 - 1! With that Cieszanów had won the game in extra time. Cieszanów's top performer was clearly B. Dvergsdal. J. Pedraza was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Wankers player was without a doubt L. Pohjanjousi. J. Winiak on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 1.
