04-07-2012 19.00
40742 spectators arrived at
Seaside Stadium, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Max Lorenzi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ralph Putz and
Bertran Grove.
The derby had been the talk of
Stockholm all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium.
A 5-2-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Archipelago.
They fielded: Fagoaga - Rolandsson, Silverström, Landstad, Martinsson, Ö - Gras, Strýček - Aral, Lanunziata, Pompei.
Samuraj started off with a 3-4-3 lineup.
Starters: Viner - Hansson, Persson, Leijonwald - Säfström, Christiansson, Teller, Gustavsson - Johansson, Mårtensson, Zetterstedt.
For their match strategy, Archipelago had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
19 minutes into the match, the visiting Samuraj made the score 0 - 1 after
M. Hansson executed a perfect free kick.
Samuraj had to make a substitution after 24 minutes.
M. Hansson limped off the field and was replaced by
T. Nissblad.
Halftime score was 0 - 1.
Samuraj claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.
With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 47 minutes gave Archipelago a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and
F. Pompei stepped up to the challenge. 1 - 1
T. Mårtensson came close to putting the visiting team one up 49 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but
R. Fagoaga managed to tip the ball to a corner.
As the 60 minute mark approached, the Samuraj coach decided it was time for a substitution.
H. Gustavsson reluctantly made way for
R. Billman on the pitch.
A. Landstad caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 67 minutes. This gave Archipelago the 2 - 1 lead.
The bench was restless, and with 67 minutes passed Samuraj's coach gave
T. Ulfsson the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
P. Persson reluctantly left the field.
The visitors didn't give in and, after 72 minutes,
J. Teller got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 2 - 2.
Archipelago's
F. Lanunziata tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders.
The visiting
T. Johansson was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 80 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 2 - 3 was the score.
After 84 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
T. Johansson who increased Samuraj's lead to 2 - 4.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Samuraj, with 66 percent of the ball.
The most dominating Archipelago player was without a doubt
F. Lanunziata.
C. Aral turned in a dismal performance, however.
Samuraj's top performer was clearly
L. Zetterstedt.
M. Leijonwald on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 2 - 4.
