Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
gasai Arena saw a crowd turnout of 51495.
Robert Surtel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ricardo Navarro Méndez and
Tomi Haukipuro.

It was an obvious ambition of gasai to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of LAMATA.
R. Trudovas behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 11 minutes as he gave the ball away to
J. Bittencourt. Lucky for him though, there was no goal.
The referee showed LAMATA's
B. Dziurman the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
gasai took the lead, 1 - 0, after a penalty 21 minutes into the match.
A. Hernández scored from the penalty spot.
LAMATA's
S. Murtas had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 24 minutes having been played.
M. Karčmarskas was the replacement.
R. Armitage finished off a quick charge from the left of the field by chipping the ball just past the home side's keeper, making the score 1 - 1 29 minutes into the match.
LAMATA had to make a substitution after 32 minutes.

The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when
R. Armitage was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 77 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead!

高. 道遥 (Daoyao) viciously shoved another player from behind while going for a loose ball and was sent off the pitch with a red card.

After 88 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by LAMATA was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by LAMATA, with 63 percent of the ball.
After the regular 90 minutes, the agony of extra time followed.
With the score still deadlocked after extra time, the teams took to the field for a penalty shoot-out to decide the winner.

M. Karčmarskas looked nervous even as he was putting the ball on the spot. He didn't take much of a run up, and his weak shot was easily saved by the keeper.

R. Viitamäki kept his cool as he faced down
P. Barščius. His composure paid off as he scored easily for 3 - 1.
LAMATA's
B. Dziurman didn't look like he was confident as he stepped up, and produced a badly struck penalty - right into the arms of
R. Viitamäki. The score remained 3 - 1.

S. Montefusco coolly put the ball past
P. Barščius. 4 - 1.
LAMATA's
R. Trudovas showed he has nerves of steel when it comes to penalties, easily changing the score to 4 - 2.
gasai's
N. Wamper showed he has nerves of steel when it comes to penalties, easily changing the score to 5 - 2.
LAMATA's
P. Barščius cockily booted the ball with a short-and-fast instep. The penalty, going just wide of the mark, didn't produce a goal.

G. Veremjevas on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Most important LAMATA player was
P. Hyde.
On the other hand,
A. Ankurs's play was disheartening.
