Dundrum displayed their ability to play creatively. Slack defending gave Dundrum a chance to take the lead with 19 minutes played, but M. Buchman's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. After 21 minutes Dundrum's M. Ruiz limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. Making his way up the middle 32 minutes into the match, R. Anderson almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert B. Musielak blocked it to keep the score level. After 39 minutes, B. Knobbe sent the corner kick right to S. Clarke who headed it sharply past the keeper. 0 - 1! The visitors' S. Clarke took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 40 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for AnkhMorpork. B. Knobbe slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. P. Ryan tried to get a goal back for Dundrum but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move. The home crowd cheered when, after 43 minutes, I. Immonen's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Dundrum, with 51 percent of the ball.

63 minutes into the game Dundrum broke through on the left wing and M. Buchman managed to reduce the lead to 1 - 2. The crowd was on its feet 64 minutes into the match, as Dundrum's C. Vernet found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 2 - 2 equaliser. Dundrum made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left M. Buchman completely alone with keeper B. Musielak, who made a spectacular block. As the match clock reached 70 minutes, AnkhMorpork's organisation began to suffer due to a lack of experience. J. Martí was called on to replace AnkhMorpork's B. Musielak after 75 minutes following a nasty collision. After 76 minutes, Dundrum were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. E. McCarthy did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. Possession in this half belonged to Dundrum, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

As neither team had managed to win, extra time was called. The AnkhMorpork players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. G. Gisaldi didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. With 98 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 3 - 2 lead as M. Ruiz flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. Game over, Dundrum win! The most dominating Dundrum player was without a doubt C. Vernet. E. McCarthy turned in a dismal performance, however. AnkhMorpork's top performer was clearly S. Clarke. On the other hand, J. Martí's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 2.
