Wijnberg could have increased the lead after 21 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. The crowd was silenced 26 minutes into the match as the visiting team's N. da Silva came in from the left, levelling the score to 1 - 1. The cannonball from 35 metres by J. Iparragirre of FFC was an impressive sight, but didn't make it into the net. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to FFC, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 65 minutes into the match left ruibrito's V. Filgueira completely free to score. 1 - 2 for the visitors. After 70 minutes, FFC sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached S. Teles da Silva, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 2 - 2. ruibrito had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 71 minutes in when V. Filgueira came up alone against T. Spínola who managed a block. FFC could have put themselves ahead after 78 minutes but F. Mena missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. 83 minutes into the game, FFC seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 87 minutes allowed J. Melo Breyner to score for ruibrito. The scoreboard now read 2 - 3. ruibrito enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

Most important FFC player was H. Ferreira. On the other hand, M. Wijnberg's play was disheartening. The most dominating ruibrito player was without a doubt J. Melo Breyner. N. da Silva was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 3.
