Blauweiß 2 - 1 Hindenbourg
(392890892)

04-07-2012 09.30
Clouds darkened the skies at
FC Blauweiß Schlachtfeld as 1938 spectators turned up for the match.
Ignas van Riel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Hieronimus Wafelbakker and
Carl Ramsten.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Blauweiß.
They fielded: Beltrán - Biran, Verwoert, Fabrowski - Müllner, Lipa, Özpınar, Välitalo, Grasser - Huber, Kronblom.
Hindenbourg started off with a 5-4-1 lineup.
Starters: Kröhnlechner - Schwaiger, Epstein, Edelmann, Heindl, Moser - Mühlmann, Galea, Schuster, Kinder - Schmid.
Hindenbourg tried to focus their attacks down the middle.
Many thought
P. Kronblom ought to have been awarded a penalty 15 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around
L. Kröhnlechner after a determined run through the middle.
A. Heindl of Hindenbourg received a yellow card after 16 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by
J. Schwaiger. At last, Hindenbourg's
A. Heindl was able to backheel the ball in. 0 - 1.
With 30 minutes played, after a good run down the left,
A. Välitalo went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving.
P. Kronblom charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for Blauweiß, but the shot went well wide of the goal.
It was obvious that team Hindenbourg had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings.
With the clock showing 39 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Hindenbourg resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by
M. Moser in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high.
0 - 1 was the score after the first half.
Blauweiß had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.
J. Biran showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 71 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away.
Hindenbourg's
D. Mühlmann got himself booked for a foul.
Blauweiß took the lead after 78 minutes as a result of
P. Müllner's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 2 - 1.
With 79 minutes played, Blauweiß's
P. Kronblom almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
With 87 minutes played,
J. Galea of Hindenbourg fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Blauweiß, with 57 percent of the ball.
The most dominating Blauweiß player was without a doubt
P. Kronblom.
On the other hand,
W. Huber's play was disheartening.
Hindenbourg's top performer was clearly
K. Epstein.
A. Schmid turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 2 - 1.
