Cohiba 3 - 3 Finadis
(392898337)

04-07-2012 09.30
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Humidor saw a crowd turnout of 2050.
Nikos Kokkosalis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Frank Stuffer and
Björn Pitkänen.
Cohiba decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Bammer - Kraus, Zauner, Vogtenhuber, Absenger - Horvath, Freund, Ströer, Eckert - Gerl, Steyrer.
Finadis started off with a 3-4-3 lineup.
They fielded: Graber - Birrer, Campolmi, Manzel - Hohermuth, Sivori, Gojčeta, Frascella - Théophile, Şeica, Draeger.
S. Frascella sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from
O. Şeica after 12 minutes of play, making the score 0 - 1.
After 25 minutes of play,
C. Steyrer evened things up for Cohiba with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 1 - 1.
Many thought
C. Steyrer ought to have been awarded a penalty 26 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around
J. Graber after a determined run through the middle.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
G. Sivori got himself booked. The manager of Finadis was not happy.
Cohiba broke through on the left 32 minutes into the game, with
H. Vogtenhuber firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 2 - 1 lead.
S. Absenger could have increased the lead after 42 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park.
It was 2 - 1 at the break.
Possession in this half belonged to Cohiba, who controlled the ball 80 percent of the time.
P. Kraus left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
K. Nooren was the replacement.
S. Frascella's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert
F. Théophile was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Finadis. 2 - 2.
Cohiba took the lead 60 minutes in, as
C. Steyrer broke through on the left and put the 3 - 2 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper.
M. Ströer should probably have put his team up another goal after 68 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
J. Graber kept the visitors in the game.
K. Nooren received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 73 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score.
Cohiba's
F. Eckert saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 74 minutes.
After 75 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Cohiba found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
weak.
82 minutes into the game Finadis's
F. Théophile found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 3 - 3.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Cohiba, with 77 percent of the ball.
F. Eckert performed admirably for Cohiba.
However,
M. Bammer made a disastrous appearance.
Finadis's best player was
R. Draeger.
On the other hand,
T. Gojčeta's play was disheartening.
The match ends 3 - 3.
