(392899589)

04-07-2012 18.05
The 1372 fans in attendance at
estadio Wojska Polskiego were roasting in the hot sun.
Ross Hallyard was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Julian Renken and
Adam MacLaverty.
Warszawa decided to use a 2-5-3 set up.
They fielded: Aouali - Czepczyński, Allouche - Castanheta, Watoła, Kromidha, Fitek, Hautbois - Pająk, Bil, Löpfe.
A 4-3-3 alignment was the formation of choice for RdamStbvoetbalkoe.
The following players had been chosen: van Gemerden - Romkes, Airoldi, Giustra, Török - Haj Hosseinzadeh, Giura, Chorążewicz - Geling, Arévalo Morales, Kuijvenhoven.
The strategy for Warszawa was to use their ability to press.
M. Teles was called on to replace Warszawa's
F. Kromidha after 3 minutes following a nasty collision.
RdamStbvoetbalkoe had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 4 minutes in when
O. Kuijvenhoven came up alone against
S. Aouali who managed a block.
After 17 minutes, RdamStbvoetbalkoe put themselves up 0 - 1, as
J. Geling finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot.
M. Airoldi of RdamStbvoetbalkoe received a yellow card after 34 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 35 minutes gave Warszawa a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and
E. Bil stepped up to the challenge. 1 - 1
After a fine move down the middle
R. Fitek nearly gave the home side a goal after 39 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide.
The goal to make it 1 - 2 was scored by
T. Török after 40 minutes, following an opportunistic counterattack down the middle by RdamStbvoetbalkoe.
1 - 2 was the halftime score.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Warszawa, with 54 percent of the ball.
A spectacular volley from
M. Hautbois almost resulted in a goal, but a good save from the keeper kept it out, and
J. Pająk could only knock the loose ball wide.
The pressing tactics used by Warszawa were successful as the ball remained close to the half way line at all times.
Unsportsmanlike behaviour by
M. Airoldi rendered him his second booking of the match, and RdamStbvoetbalkoe had to finish the game with a reduced squad.
Usually a powerful player on the field,
E. Bil looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun.
After 74 minutes,
J. Pająk made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 2 - 2.
The visiting
I. Arévalo Morales was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 77 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 2 - 3 was the score.
Warszawa's talent at pressing frustrated the spectators as the game became a dire midfield struggle.
Warszawa had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.
Warszawa's top performer was clearly
M. Hautbois.
M. Teles turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating RdamStbvoetbalkoe player was without a doubt
O. Kuijvenhoven.
However,
J. van Gemerden made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 2 - 3.
