The pressing tactics used by bävrarna were successful as the ball remained close to the half way line at all times. 1 - 2 was the score with 34 minutes played, after O. Frechilla cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for bävrarna. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave V. Grulich from Barzanore a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 35 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! S. Penas of bävrarna had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. Š. Hodo came in to finish the match. I. Holmgren was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by V. Grulich, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. D. Ivanišević came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over N. Cranz but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to bävrarna, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

E. Runden left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 47 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. P. Fredhall was the replacement. The bävrarna captaincy was handed to F. Spiridon. With 69 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed M. Stutz of bävrarna to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors.
