Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Trädgården saw a crowd turnout of 1965.
Humphrey Horsting was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Anders Malmgren and
Rintje Broersma.
Olles started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Quinton - Renaudin, Álamo, Paszak, Piu - Fossemò, Tuitert, Hincis, Sponga - Cargile, Ripaud.
A 5-4-1 alignment was the formation of choice for QTos.
They fielded: Merino - Brajdić, Mazzamurro, Žorž, Iswantoro, Galov - Mezić, Zeko, Decijar, Ruić - Lužavec.
A mistake by the home side's central defence after 4 minutes allowed
D. Galov to score for QTos. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1.
With 13 minutes played,
S. Lužavec of QTos fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
After 18 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
T. Mezić who increased QTos's lead to 0 - 2.
V. Quinton got a fingertip on
L. Zeko's shot from the left 25 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal.
I. Hincis of Olles was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
After 32 minutes, Olles raised their score by one when
G. Fossemò's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by
J. Ripaud. 1 - 2.
V. Žorž increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 3.
By now, the players in QTos felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
With 41 minutes played, QTos put themselves up 1 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
J. Ruić.
Olles's
G. Fossemò had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 43 minutes having been played.
A. Höhen was the replacement.
It was 1 - 4 at the break.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by QTos, with 71 percent of the ball.
A penalty kick was awarded to Olles 64 minutes into the match, and
A. Renaudin expertly put it away. 2 - 4.
After the ball was lifted in from the left,
L. Zeko was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 74 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration.
Olles were able to draw a foul with their counterattacks, but the shot from
A. Renaudin went into the arms of the keeper.
After 77 minutes, a long pass from Olles's
D. Cargile caught the defence out of position.
A. Sponga collected the ball, and with the goal at his mercy calmly rolled the ball just inside the post. 3 - 4.
With 78 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
L. Zeko of QTos to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 3 - 5.
Possession in this half belonged to QTos, who controlled the ball 70 percent of the time.
Olles's top performer was clearly
D. Cargile.
V. Quinton was a disappointment, however.
M. Decijar performed admirably for QTos.
On the other hand,
R. Merino's play was disheartening.
The match ends 3 - 5.
