A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 1903 to
Marín city.
Ferran Stijnen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Gonzalo Aldasoro and
Brian Steen Mølbach Olsen.
opositores decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
The following players took the field: Abssawi - Blažíček, Blervacq, Payá - Xaubet, Bongiorno, Wallach, Quijano - Shastin, Urdapilleta, Nikolić.
DonKeyFK had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Zsilák - Filep, Fazekas, Wolf, Kereki, Pajtlingerov - Krepsz, Rajkó, Faragó - Szalai, Gura.
DonKeyFK displayed their ability to play creatively.
DonKeyFK had to make a substitution after 22 minutes.
M. Filep limped off the field and was replaced by
K. Kotroczó.
One of many good crosses from
P. Krepsz on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by
K. Gura, who scored for DonKeyFK. 0 - 1
opositores's
B. Shastin made a successful breakthrough on the left after 30 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1.
opositores enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.
E. Payá behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 50 minutes as he gave the ball away to
P. Krepsz. Lucky for him though, there was no goal.
53 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as
K. Gura finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
The players of DonKeyFK now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
K. Gura from DonKeyFK a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 54 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
DonKeyFK increased their lead after 64 minutes when
G. Szalai broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay.
With 70 minutes played, the opositores coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
P. Fontão came on,
M. Nikolić had to leave the fray.
70 minutes into the match,
K. Gura came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide.
Z. Quijano charged down the left and looked sure to score for opositores 72 minutes into the game, but his shot went just wide.
Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 73 minutes, DonKeyFK did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker,
G. Kereki was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 4.
DonKeyFK's
G. Szalai was shown a yellow card after 75 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Due to a severely mistimed tackle,
J. Wallach of opositores spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game.
DonKeyFK claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
opositores's best player was
P. Fontão.
However,
E. Payá made a disastrous appearance.
DonKeyFK's top performer was clearly
I. Wolf.
M. Faragó turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 0 - 4.
