Haj Massaoud broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for MAXIMA. Confident in their lead, MAXIMA's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. 3645s's G. Bozz was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 40 minutes. 2 - 0 was the halftime score. MAXIMA had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

Encouraged by their lead, after 46 minutes the MAXIMA coach asked Q. Gobert to change positions with A. Haj Massaoud. 3645s's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 61 minutes gone, but K. Mętny's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. L. Launz wanted to play on, but the MAXIMA coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 70 minutes into the game by N. Germon. A. Sicard was the new captain of MAXIMA - handed the armband by the departing player. C. Noël caught everyone off guard with a great opening pass - but unfortunately A. Haj Massaoud was as surprised by the move as anybody else, and managed to miss the extraordinary opportunity. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave H. Baji from MAXIMA a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 76 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! As usual, A. Sicard tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all. MAXIMA's A. Haj Massaoud was shown a yellow card after 84 minutes for slicing down an opponent. H. Harmann enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. Cheers filled the stadium as F. Audier broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to MAXIMA. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by MAXIMA, with 55 percent of the ball.
